day 5: a picture of somewhere you've been

 my mother's former mission companion, my auntie caridyn, lives on the island of kauai. we have been lucky enough to be able to go stay with her and her amazing family in october 2009 and june 2010. i haven't been on any of the other hawaiian islands, but i've heard kauai is the prettiest. it is definitely the prettiest place i have ever been. and i love being there. we go surfing, snorkeling, to many different beaches, play soccer, go to the colburn's (auntie caridyn's family's) dance shows, and do lots of other family activities. or we just hang out on the beach as beach bums.

i am seriously SO lucky for all of the amazing times i've had here with my incredible family and the colburn's, my incredible hawaiian family. i love this place!
