an awkward doorstep scene after said date? check.

seriously, i go on this way fun date last night, and when we leave for him to take me home it's raining and lightening outside in bountiful. perfect, right? well we get down to west bountiful where it's not even raining. okay, sprinkling a little, cool. we pull up to my house and i swear every single light inside my house is on. for those of you who don't know, the front of my house is probably 70% windows. okay, so that's completely awkward and intimidating. why in the world were all the lights in my house on at 2AM?! and of course it's on a night i'm on a date with a guy i'm interested in. cool, family. cool.

so, needless to say, i didn't get a goodnight kiss. my awesome date ended with an awesomely awkward doorstep scene.

ah, the perks of living at home.
well, you win some, you lose some.

so the day that i was sick and exhausted and had to be on campus for ten hours, i was at the weber state bookstore, looking at day planners and minding my own business, when a boy who scream talks in an equivalence to alecc quezada approaches me. he introduces himself and asks my name and asks what i'm looking at planners for. i continue responding to his small-talk, pretending i'm very interested in the planners, completely aware that half the people in the bookstore were listening to us cuz this kid is talking so loud. he asked me where i'm from, and i responded, "bountiful, what about you?" to which he answers, "heaven, do you know where that is?" i turned to look at him and asked in my tired daze, "is that by park city?" the minute i said it, i realized that was wrong. my brain quickly caught up with the conversation and i realized how stupid i looked and sounded. of course scream-talker was also a scream-laugher and everyone's attention was pulled to the fact that i had said something stupid and he was laughing at me.

i'm meeting some really cool friends at weber.
in all seriousness though, i have met some cool people.
well, most of my friends are all moved away to logan or provo because the rest of the world is starting school tomorrow. good luck everybody!
