k first of all, i have NEVER been obsessive with weddings in my life. while a lot of my friends have explained their future weddings in detail to me, i haven't known much about mine except that i would like to get married in the bountiful temple and i think my colors will probably be blue and yellow.
until this week.
i don't know what has happened to me....
but i blame pinterest.

seriously, i think it must be my pinterest relapse i fell into a couple days ago.
tuesday i sat on pinterest for a couple hours and sub-consciously planned two things in my head:
1: my sister's baby shower i'm throwing in a 3-ish months.
2: my wedding i'm having in...wait.
yesterday, in the middle of studying anatomy, i pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down every detail i want in my wedding because i couldn't get them to stop swimming around in my head! but i now know what i want my dress to look like, what accessories i want, what decorations i want, what flower arrangement i want, what i want my family and my line to wear, what food i want at my reception, what gifts i want to give to my line, and what songs i want to play!
i used to think it was crazy and unhealthy for girls to do that (no offense to those of you that have since i've known you...*cough, cough, ashleyandbecca*), unless they actually have a date in mind. but then i did it. and let's be real here...who knows how long it'll be until i get married? we're most likely looking at a looooong period of time here.
i feel a little out of character, but i don't feel like i'm necessarily going crazy. what would be bad is if this phase never passed and i was obsessed with a wedding until i finally got married, but i didn't get married for a very, very long time. that would just be torturous.
it's definitely the wedding i'm excited for though more than the actual marriage, although there are some reasons i'm excited to be married:
reason #1: babies. i am so baby hungry it's not even funny. but everyone keeps telling me "don't even think about it until you're married!" i don't get why i keep getting told this, but i guess i'll listen.
reason #2: i'm excited to have someone to snuggle with at night.
reason #3: it will be fun to have a shower buddy.
reason #4: whoever i marry, my family will absolutely love. when we go to family parties everyone will be so glad he's there as an addition and he will only make spending time with my family that much better than it already is.
reason #5: once i'm married, i'll never have to go on a first date again. we'll talk about dating later, but i'm just not a fan.
reason #6: we will be an adorable couple and i will scratch his back in church.
reason #7: i will make him watch movies, go shopping with me, and i will talk to him about everything.
in reason #7 i made it sound like my husband will be gay. but he won't be.
but i'm glad i'm not married right now. obviously, i'm not ready. i mean look at the reasons i'm excited: babies, shower buddy, no dating, and someone to go shopping with me...yeah. i'm not ready.
but once i am ready and it happens, i will have one heck of a wedding!!
what do you guys think, is it unhealthy to obsessively plan your wedding when the day is not in sight?
have you planned your wedding already? or did you plan it long before it came?

Haha! This made me laugh. I didn't know a single thing about my wedding until I got engaged. I don't think it's bad to have some things in mind... in fact it can be helpful! But just leave room to be flexible, b/c if your groom is anything like mine was he is going to have an opinion!
