to the former residents of snow hall room 206:

i want you girls to know that my blog is mostly geared toward you. of course i want other people to read it also, but when i'm posting i usually write things i think my roommates will appreciate.

yes, i still call you my roommates, even though we no longer mate in the room.
wait, what?
sorry.

i still call you my roommates. this is confusing for people i talk to.
"this one time, my roommate allie, who is in russia right now and is marrying her best friend when she gets home..."
"wait...don't you live with your mom?"

"my roommate taylor, who's married..."
"why is she living with you if she's married?"

"my roommate kim, who loves cowboys..."
"my roommate samantha, who is a cowboy...sorry, cowgirl.."

and then there's becca :). i don't need to talk about her a lot cuz she's usually with me. we kinda come in a package. in fact, i'm pretty sure we drive most of our friends nuts because we're always talking about our roommates and about the good ol' logan days.

yesterday, that friend of mine i met in hawaii called me. yes, the really, really, ridiculously good looking one. we talked for a few minutes and then he asked if i still talked to my roommates very often. i told him i did but not as much as i wish i did. he asked me about my roommate sam, he heard she works at best buy?

yup, i'm not even living in logan anymore and boys are still going to me to ask about my "hot roommate".

i'm going on a date in a little while. i wish you girls would be here to act completely obnoxious when he came to pick me up. and then i wish i could come home tonight and crawl in someone's bed and talk to them about it. i don't think anyone in my family will accept or appreciate me crawling into bed with them late at night.

i wish that on the days i want to look good i had a team to help me pick out my outfit for the day. and i wish that on the days i don't care enough i had allie's reassurance that real clothes are overrated anyway.

i wish i had girls to work out with. and i also wish i had girls to fail at working out with me.

i want to hack your facebook accounts and dress your stuffed animals in inappropriate underwear and put your phone numbers in public places or in random boys' backpacks.

and then i want to be the one who doesn't get blamed for any of it. did you guys ever notice that was how it worked?

i want to feel awkward when i always end up walking in on you kissing boys.

i want to block stalk girls we don't know and facebook creep boys we do and don't know. i want to give those boys we don't know nicknames and talk about them frequently as if we actually know them.

i want someone to finally snap about the dishes in the sink.

i want to practice our hip-hop dances in the living room and then have a dance party, blasting our music so loud that mean boys throw mean notes into our room.

i want someone to paint my nails with. i've painted my nails once since i've moved home, and that was for a wedding. it's just not something that happens when i live with my mom and brothers.

i might change my major and i want to talk to you about it. i want to talk to you about some other big life-decisions i have running through my mind. i want to talk to you about how we can only plan so far into the future at this age since things are always changing so fast. i want to talk to you about the gospel and about my family. i want to talk to you about missionaries and weddings and SEX (kim).

i don't want to get in fights ever again.
but those fights strengthened our friendships with each other and made me realize how much i need you girls.

i want to look at pictures of all your friends from home and all the fantastic stuff you've done like humanitarian trips and rodeos.

i want to tell you about this boy i think i like. i want to talk to you about kissing. i want you to tell me stories. i think i could literally sit down and talk to you for hours right now.

buuuut, if we still lived together, we wouldn't be able to have this kinda fun:

thank goodness becca follows me whenever i move ;). thank goodness i like tay's husband almost as much as i like her and that they only live fifteen minutes away. thank goodness i'm going to come up to logan when i finally have a weekend off work. thank goodness allie likes a boy here so she'll come back to the united states in a few more months. thank goodness for the phone, text, email, skype, facebook, and blogging.

thank goodness for last year and thank goodness for you girls.
