what am i doing awake at this time? i haven't stayed up this late since...well, since i last didn't live at home with my mom. kinda crazy stuff. but i was just catching up on all my blog-stalking and next thing i know it's this late/early! so naturally, i decide to write a blog post rather than get some rest.

i got a letter from...what do i call him? not "my missionary". i don't like saying that. he would absolutely die if he knew i was blogging about him...but he's on the other side of the world so whatever, he can't do much about it. some of his words (except with appropriate capitalizations that i refuse to use):
"i don't get it. how do you know me so well? blows my mind. it has been nine months and one week since i first met you. i've spent more than half that time 3500 miles away from you (or however far it is). i spent about two of those months getting to know you, always thinking of you and how to make you happy. i spent about two weeks of that time by your side, with you almost every second."

so here's a little background info for those who don't have the inside scoop on this. this fantastic boy and i dated for only two months before he left on his mission in january. and pretty much what he says sums it all up. we became extremely close friends unbelievably fast and i feel like he knows me extremely well. friendships like this one is are extraordinary things. even though i don't know what is going to happen in the future for the two of us, this person was definitely supposed to be in my life. i don't understand why it happened how or when it did, but his mere existence and our friendship is a complete miracle and just goes to show that the right people come into your life at the right time and that the Lord is mindful of your exact needs. really, a miracle. think of the people in your life who you are closest to and who have significant meaning to you. think of everything that they add to your life. the presence of people like this in our lives is a miracle we should be thanking God for every day.

k enough of that missionary boy business. i played lacrosse today with some of my old team! there are a few physical activities that really make me feel completely alive and happy. these activities include but are not limited to: running in the morning, hiking, jet skiing, snowboarding, and playing lacrosse. during lacrosse season in high school problems and worries really had no hold on me because i had lacrosse every day. it really has a way of melting every thing else away and making me nothing but happy. and it was soooo good to see some of the girls.

b-e-a-utiful.
