- playing "killer" (murder in the dark) two nights in a row in dawson's empty house since his parents were gone. walking (sometimes running) around his dark three story house, with seven other friends, one of us "killing" the others. we also threw in a couple games of cherades and hide-and-go-seek. i only drew the killer card once, but i want everyone to know that i slayed (literally, but in a fake way) all the other players when i did. muahahahaha.
- starting tbs tv thursdays with mason. we also started watching 3rd rock from the sun on netflix...does anyone else remember that show? joseph gordon-levitt...what a stud.
- getting a pinterest. i got a pinterest at one of the busiest times of my life. now if that isn't setting myself up for success, i don't know what is. i need to be careful about this pinterest business, because it's super addicting and if i don't watch myself my productivity level could plummet.
- going to the bountiful high homecoming game with my friends. i miss high school. i was super envious of my brothers friday morning as they got in one car to drive to the high school, and i got in the other car to drive to the bus stop to wait for the bus that would take me to weber state. anyway, the homecoming game was really fun, and of course wouldn't have been complete without going to dee's after.
- lending a dress to a foreign-exchange student from thailand who's staying with a family in my ward. she was possibly going to wear this one, which three years later i am still in LOVE with:
check out my homecoming date from junior year. what a hottie. pulling out all my old dresses was a walk down memory lane. finding the perfect dress for a dance was always the best thing ever. i do miss that.
- my mom was out of town all week. it was really nice to have her come home, even though we had to stop throwing rowdy parties every night. ohhh shoot...hey mom! i totally forgot you read this!
- i went skydiving yesterday. as in, i jumped out of a freaking airplane. i went with some of my cousins and friends for my cousin shayli's birthday. it was so amazing! i was scared before i went but the closer i got to jumping the less nervous i got and the more excited i got. my instructor kept throwing in comments about how nervous he was and i'd be like "yeah...WHAT?!" but i knew he was just trying to mess with me. one of the other instructors sitting next to me in the plane kept announcing to everyone else how terrified i was and i'd have to reply loudly "nope i am not scared AT ALL!" it made it a lot less nerve-racking that they were joking around with me. it was such an amazing experience, both free falling and parachuting. i'm so glad i went, and i'm excited i completed such a big task off my bucket list.
- going for a [gnarly] hike at night in farmington with some of my friends and cousins ("watch where you're stepping." "there's only about a foot of space to step here, then it drops off." "this spot is really slippery." "don't touch any of the millions of plants around you cuz most of them are poison ivy.") and then having a fire and talking around it for a while. the bad news about the hike was it was dark and we only had two small flash lights. the good news was that since i'm a girl i was by default able to hold one of the flashlights. i love when i'm with guys who want to baby me a little and make sure i'm doing okay and then i impress them by being super tough.
so all in all, this week was a success.
